Support Hume with Your Time, Talent, and Treasures
For decades, we have watched God continue to bless this ministry in mighty, humbling ways through your time, talents and treasure. Whatever you choose to give, know that we are committed to wisely using it for God’s glory as we preach His Gospel to the ends of the earth.
How can you give?
Pray
Pray for Dathan Brown, Executive Director, and the Board of Directors as they lead Hume.
Pray as we continue to build infrastructure so that we can invite even more youth and adults to hear the wonderful Gospel.
Pray for life-transformation for all who visit Hume!
Volunteer
Since the beginning, Hume has relied on the hearts, hands and minds of people who have a passion for Christ and a willingness to serve.
If you’re interested in learning more about how your skills (whatever they may be!) can be put to use at Hume New England Lake or Hume Ministries, fill our our Volunteer Interest Form!
Give
You’d never believe what it takes to keep Hume Ministries running!
The list is virtually endless…vehicles, tools, media equipment, building materials, sports gear…

Donor Advised Funds
Did you know that you can now request a gift for Hume Ministries through your Donor Advised Fund (DAF)? The process is quick and easy and can be done right here. There are only three DAFs that are currently set up for online requests like this, but don’t worry, more will be added to the list in the months to come.
As a member of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (ECFA) you can give with confidence, knowing that your gifts go right back into the ministry of reaching kids, youth, adults and families for Christ. That has been the mission of Hume since day one, more than 68 years ago and our commitment to the gospel has never wavered.
Our mission is about as big as the Great Commission, and we depend on our ministry partners in order to continue that work at Hume Lake, Hume New England, Hume San Diego, Hume Hawaii and Hume International. Thank you for your support. It’s wonderful to have you on our team. We cannot do this work without you.

Hume Needs
In addition to financial gifts, the ministry has been blessed over the years by “in-kind” gifts of equipment, vehicles and services. These gifts save the ministry thousands of dollars and often provide Hume with equipment or resources that it could not otherwise afford or obtain.
The list below includes many items that will help advance the ministry of Hume New England. Perhaps you have an item that is in good working order, but it is no longer being used. Or you are involved in a business that could support the ministry through one of these in-kind gift opportunities. You can also make a financial gift designated to the purchase of one of these items; please contact us for estimated pricing of the item(s) you are interested in funding.
Please keep in mind that all in-kind gifts are subject to management’s review and acceptance, based on condition and suitability for ministry purposes.
Equipment Needs
Serving food in a year-round camp takes it’s toll on everything, especially the kitchen equipment. If you have equipment or are willing to help us upgrade, repair, or acquire new or gently used equipment, please let us know.
Current needs:
- Braising Pan / Tilt Skillet
- Ovens
- Fridge
- Freezer / Bunker
- Shake machines
When winter comes, we rely heavily on snow for our recreation. We are working to develop and expand our capability to create and maintain the snow levels during early and late seasons or when winter is mild and snow is lacking.
Snowmobiles are not just a luxury when you run a winter camp. They quickly become a necessity. Tasks from grooming ski trails, to transporting equipment around remote areas of camp to reaching the far edges of the property during heavy snow.

We have several needs for stonework. Anywhere from walls and paths to buildings and even climbing walls and bouldering walls. If you have a skill in this area and would like to serve or volunteer, please reach out to us through the contact page.
We are working on developing many trails to expand the use of the beautiful property at Hume. We have a lake trail and summit trail we are currently developing. We also have need of a mountain bike trail and plan to add a few others.
There is lots to be painted, prepped and repainted here on the property. We would love to have a hand keeping up with the many buildings, bridges, fences and such that need constant TLC.
Carpentry is a valuable skill that every camp can use. Anything from repairing steps to building decks. Let us know if you have a skill that we can use to keep camp looking great.
