Hume is ideal for accommodating groups of many sizes. Surrounded by National Forest, our grounds and facilities are tucked away in the heart of the San Bernardino Mountains, situated at 6700 ft. in elevation. A perfect location to relax, replenish, retreat, and reconnect.

We seek out the best produce to provide only the most delicious recipes for our guests. We tailor each menu to accommodate your type of group.

Dining Hall

Here at Hume, we absolutely love activities of all kinds. Scaling trees, ziplines across the lake, flying high from the blob, exploring God’s creation, and of course sport competition—the list is long and FUN.

Spring, Summer, and Fall Activities

Airsoft
30 players per game. Natural, forested Game Field. Gear provided (guns, ammo, masks, and jackets).

Bubble Ball
Wearable, inflatable spheres; climb inside and then play soccer or other creative games.

Climbing Tree
65-foot tree climbing challenge with hand and foot holds.

The Lagoon*
Multiple recreational opportunities including:

  • The Blob – Participant drops from a platform onto an inflatable blob which launches another participant into the lake.
  • Tarzan Swing – Swing from a high platform into the lake
  • Water Zipline – Zip from a high platform into the lake
  • Swimming – Shallow end of lake that slopes from the shore to a depth of 4.5 feet.

*Only available summer–Labor Day

Leap of Faith
45-foot climbing pole onto a Leap platform; leap off, reaching for a trapeze bar.

Log Walk
Balance challenge on log suspended 35 feet off the ground.
Option 2 – Swing below the log across the monkey-ropes.
Option 3 – Climb up a cargo net to the log rather than climbing up the tree.

Quick Jump
40-foot climb onto Quick Jump platform, then a 13-foot free-fall from the platform using a free-fall device.

Rec Field
Large, grass recreation field, including:
Softball backstop and softball field (no softball equipment available at this point in time).
Soccer goals (equipment included).
Sand volleyball court (equipment included).

Rec Room
Snack Bar, 3 pool tables, 2 ping pong tables, 2 foosball tables, 2 bumper pool tables.

Swimming Pool
Shallow to 8-foot depth with a diving board. 2 outdoor showers and nearby restrooms.

Zipline
40-foot climb up to Zipline deck, then free-jump to zipline over the lake.

Winter Activities

Tube Runs
Run 1: Single rider down a steep, straight slope
Run 2: Riders can link together and train down a curved run

Rec Room
Snack Bar, 3 pool tables, 2 ping pong tables, 2 foosball tables, 2 bumper pool tables.

Ultimate Joust
Player-vs-Player. Inflatable event with two pedestals. Players attempt to knock each other off of pedestal with foam-cover jousting staffs.

We provide:

Dinner the first day of the retreat

All meals each full day of the retreat

Breakfast and lunch the last day of the retreat

We do not offer free guest WiFi at this point in time, and we cannot guarantee you will find a signal from your service provider while at the camp.

Hume Ministries is a non-denominational, non-profit organization.

We can accommodate groups of up to 365 guests, depending on the season. The minimum group size we accommodate is 100, but we are always open to discussing a smaller group on a case-by-case basis.

Hume Ministries is known for it’s programmed camps and retreats. We provide the program (speakers, worship, lead all meetings), activities (including recreation games), meals, and lodging.

For guest groups, we provide meals, lodging and facilities and let you plan the programming and schedule. Activities are provided for free as part of the guest group experience.

We will only offer a 100% refund for cancellations directly related to COVID-19 infection.
